What is a dumpster rental?
A dumpster rental is a metal box you keep at your home or job site to toss the trash in while you’re completing a project. We will deliver your dumpster when you need it, then pick it up once you’re done cleaning up.
What does "roll off" mean in "roll off dumpster"?
A roll off dumpster is a rectangular box with no lid, a swinging door and wheels on one end. When your dumpster rental is delivered, a truck will use the wheels of the dumpster to roll it into the correct spot. So, a roll off dumpster is simply an open-top dumpster with wheels that “roll” into place.
Why would I want to rent a dumpster? What is it for?
Renting a dumpster is an easy way to clean up junk and debris. You can use a dumpster for a wide range of projects, including home cleanouts, remodels, commercial renovations and landscaping jobs. Just load trash into your roll off dumpster as you go to maintain a clean work space.
How is weight calculated at the landfill?
The weight of the materials is determined during delivery to the local landfill. Each unit is carefully weighed to obtain the gross weight. Once the dumpster is emptied, the unit is weighed again to determine the tare weight. The actual weight of the materials is then calculated by subtracting the tare weight from the gross weight. The accuracy of these measurements is ensured by state bureaus of weights and measures, which regulate the scales used at the landfill.
Will I be charged for extra weight?
Yes, if the weight of the materials in your dumpster exceeds the weight included in your order confirmation, you will be liable for the additional weight charges at the specified tonnage rate. We are billed based on the weight at the disposal facility and we will pass this charge on to you accordingly.
Can I rent more than one dumpster at a time?
Depending on demand and local availability, there’s no limit to the number of dumpsters you can rent at one time. We’ll provide as many bins as your project requires, dropped off together or staggered to meet your needs. We can also deliver bins to multiple jobsites.

Will the dumpster mess up my driveway?
While the likelihood of driveway damage is minimal, we kindly request your awareness of the potential impact caused by the weight of the dumpster and its contents. Jones Dumpsters, LLC assumes no responsibility for any damage incurred during the use, placement, or removal of the container. To mitigate property damage concerns, we highly recommend the placement of plywood underneath the container. We strongly advise taking appropriate precautions in safeguarding your driveway.
Do I need to be home when you deliver?
We strongly recommend having someone on site, although it is not mandatory. In the event that no one is present, the driver will exercise their best judgment when determining the container’s placement. A fee will be applied if the dumpster needs to be relocated due to the absence of on-site supervision. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure a clear and unobstructed access to the container when it is scheduled for removal. Failure to provide accessibility may result in a wasted trip fee.
What is included with the price?
The cost of a dumpster rental includes one-time delivery and removal of the selected roll-off dumpster, a disposal weight allowance, and a specified rental period. All waste will be disposed of at a fully approved and licensed facility.

If it becomes necessary to cancel or modify the delivery date, what steps should be follow?
To ensure a smooth process, any cancellations or changes should be requested no later than 48 hours before scheduled delivery. Please note that such requests may be subject to cancellation and change fees.
What is the recommended timeframe for reserving a dumpster in advance?
What should I do if my dumpster becomes full earlier than anticipated?
Please contact us to arrange a pick-up for the container. Should you require an additional container, there will be a repeated charge as per the previous container. Kindly note that it is your responsibility to schedule the pick-up. Failure to do so will result in charges according to our pricing scale.
